I just recently attended Southern Wine and Spirits' 2008 Portfolio tasting, and I happened across this beautiful bubbly.

While you might immediately think of the traditional sparkling rose with this wine, I can assure you that it's something with a little bit more depth, both in color and in flavor. The aroma reminds one of cherries and the taste is both slightly decadent and tickling. The acidity is light, and this wine is something that should be great for any romantic occasion as well.
